Baumann Automation acquired a majority stake in SOLIN GmbH in Munich on 01.01.2020.
The combination of SOLIN's processing expertise with battery
testing and Baumann's automation know-how enables high-tech solutions for
testing control units and in battery production.
SOLIN GmbH and Baumann GmbH want to position themselves together on the market as manufacturers of test systems for testing electrical low-voltage and high-voltage components with control devices. End-of-Line testers are able to offer all the testing technology, including the test stations and contacting equipment. The two companies are collaborating to complement their product ranges. Baumann Automation can integrate additional test steps into its manufacturing processes and SOLIN gets access to expertise in assembly, handling and control technology.
Another goal is to jointly develop test benches that
can be offered with little modification effort. In addition, test benches are
to be manufactured as workshop testers, validation test benches or testers for
second life batteries.
"We view battery testing technology as a major field
for the future and in SOLIN, we are pleased to have found an experienced
partner who will further strengthen our position with its process
know-how," emphasises Dr Georg Baumann, founder and owner of Baumann Automation.
"With Baumann Automation at our side, we can now
implement complete solutions. The geographical proximity is of great benefit to
this collaboration," added Rainer Marquardt and Dr Tobias Vogel, the
