The Modular Contacting System (MCS) from Baumann is a flexible high-voltage and low-voltage contacting system for demanding testing processes in development and series production. As a module of the Modular Test System (MTS), the MCS enables precise, safe and efficient electrical contacting of HV, LV and FPC applications.
The modular units can be flexibly configured and seamlessly integrated into automated test processes. Integrated measurement taps, intelligent safety functions and a maintenance-friendly design ensure maximum process reliability with minimum effort. This makes the MCS the ideal solution for a wide range of requirements in modern high-voltage testing technology.

Präzise Hochvolt-Kontaktierung für Batterie- und E-Mobility-Anwendungen
The MCS impresses with its high repeat accuracy and stable contact quality – even in demanding high-voltage applications of 5000 V and 500 A or more. Thanks to the modular system design, contacting solutions can be precisely tailored to component geometries, current ranges and test requirements.
In e-mobility and industrial battery technology in particular, reliable contacting forms the basis for downstream process steps such as diagnostics, second-life assessment or the controlled discharge of high-voltage batteries.
System integration in the Modular Test System (MTS)
Within the Modular Test System (MTS), the MCS provides a secure electrical connection between the test object and the test system. In combination with other modules – such as discharge technology – this creates a comprehensive platform for diagnostics, pre-treatment, recycling or second-life applications.
This allows high-voltage batteries, inverters, switches, etc. to be safely connected, tested and, if necessary, discharged in a controlled manner – all within a modular, scalable overall system.
Benefits at a glance:
Maximum process reliability thanks to integrated safety and protection mechanisms
High flexibility for changing test items and variants
Resource-saving switch from manual to automatic contacting
Reduced downtime thanks to maintenance-optimised design
Seamless integration into existing testing and automation systems
Future-proof architecture for scalable test concepts
